This piece was featured in the film " Mirror Persimmon."

This installation was created for a theater group setting, fulfilling their request for a symbolic piece while continuing the exploration of ongoing thematic directions. The work examines the relationship between nature and human-made objects. Its form appears unstable, as if it might collapse at any moment, evoking scenarios and metaphors of potential collisions between objects.

The concept of driftwood is integrated into the installation. Driftwood, originally floating on the sea’s surface, develops a unique texture through the erosion of damp coastal environments. In this work, the driftwood is suspended in space by hemp ropes, creating a sense of floating dynamics. However, this sense of suspension is not stable but instead represents a precarious and fragile balance. Through this instability, the piece further reflects on humanity’s position within the natural cycle: seemingly in control of the environment, yet inherently fragile and subject to nature’s forces of reshaping and dominance.

The photograph showcases the integration of the installation within the theater setting. The choice of the lantern adds detail to the work, enhancing the symbolic nature of the perforated space. The lantern makes the void appear to “disappear” rather than be “destroyed,” imparting deeper spatial and conceptual meaning to the piece.
